    Basic Concept & Elements of Indian & Western Music

    The elements and nature of music, musical expression, theory, practical are very much diverse in Western and Indian classical music traditions. This course will give you an overview of the Western (European) & Indian music, it’s history, by using the techniques of listening to recognize the various elements, forms, styles, and textures of music. Genuine appreciation of any art form requires repeated exposure, and this is particularly true of music. That’s why, this course would also help you to develop a true understanding of musical art, and also to appreciate the nuances of it as an active listener.

    Designing Differentiated Curriculum

    Differentiated Curriculum Planning is a 12-week course designed to help educators create effective differentiated curriculum plans that meet the needs of diverse learners. The course starts with key questions related to their own role as a teacher/curriculum planner and leads to understanding the needs of individual learners. Participants will explore the principles and practices of differentiated instruction and gain a deeper understanding of the diverse learning needs, interests, and abilities of their students. The course will provide strategies like design thinking, visual thinking and tools for identifying individual learner needs and adapting instruction to better support student success. including online discussions, reflective writing, and case studies that explore real-world scenarios. Participants will also have access to the learning material which will provide guidance and support as they develop their curriculum plans. By the end of the course, participants will have developed a comprehensive differentiated curriculum plan for a unit of study in their subject area and gained a deeper understanding of the importance of creating inclusive learning environments.

    Environmental disturbances within the larger phenomena of Climate Change has become a commonplace occurrence in most parts of the world. In the socio-political realm this is largely attributed either to failure of resource management machinery or a technological lapse. However, a closer observation reveals that this has occurred due to a fundamentally altered consciousness of contemporary civilization towards its surrounding, the bountiful mother earth manifested in myriads of wonders all around us. The crisis is indeed a symptom of our altered perception, aspiration, priorities and trade-offs. Nature is pivotal to the welfare and sustenance of the human race. The lack of cognizance; of respect and attitudinal negligence may well be the cause of its fall.

    Indian Classical Music Appreciation & It’s Basic

    India has a particularly rich tradition of highly sophisticated classical music forms that have come down through the ages. Many of us have a curiosity of understanding these traditions, however, seeking true engagement and pleasure from Indian classical music does require some initiation and active effort from the listener. Music is an intangible art but whether it is a tangible or intangible art form, tradition, culture, society or anything if you don’t know about it, you can’t appreciate it. The purpose of this course is to give the basic knowledge of Indian classical music to each and every one. The course is primarily concerned to Indian classical music appreciation while also drawing attention upon the basics of Indian music.

The course aims to equip educational leaders with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively manage and lead in a rapidly changing, complex educational environment. In this course, the participants will acquire the essential knowledge, attitudes, and skills that allow them to better recognise their own strengths and weaknesses, understand their purpose in life and make positive changes for themselves and for others.

    In Collaboration with Gnostic Center ‘The Integral Approach to Education’ is a 3-week course under ICIS stream of Integral Education. While education has become more child-centred and integrated, it still does not deal with all aspects of the human being. This course introduces what is an Integral Education and how it can provide for a complete education. It engages the learner in an experiential understanding of parts of the being, the inner and outer attitudes that determine our response to any situation and our approach to life, work, relationships and difficulties. It provides insights into the integral approach to education.
